Story

Jake
Jake was a active, busy little boy. A little boy that often complained of multiple joint pain, but physicians told us he was just having growing pains and had a "sick sister in the home". He wasn't diagnosed with Systemic Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis (JRA) with Polyarticular features until he was 7 years old. This type of auto immune disease affects internal organs , including eyes as well as all joints and can be life threatening. Jake receives medications through his port every 14 days and takes chemo shots at home weekly as well as many other medications. There is no cure for JRA. Jake is currently homeschooled but loves to go fishing, hunting and 4-wheeling. Jake tries his best to keep moving and not allow the disease get the best of him, but some days are more difficult than others.
